Amcor is a global leader in developing and producing flexible and rigid packaging for food, beverages, and other household products. When product demand increased, Amcor needed more manufacturing and warehouse space and turned to BCCG to provide a complete Design-Build solution at their Bellevue, Ohio location.
The first hurdle BCCG faced was working out a solution to expand and connect two existing buildings that were located on two separate properties with different finished floor heights. BCCG worked with Amcor and the property owners to combine the parcels so the project could move forward.
Once construction got underway, BCCG was tasked with simultaneously expanding both facilities and merging them into one building without interruption to Amcor’s production and warehouse processes. BCCG’s solution involved building around and over top an existing conveyor and included erecting a temporary conveyor to maintain the flow of product transferring from the manufacturing floor to the warehouse while construction was in progress.
BCCG delivered another successful project, completing this fast-track project, including municipal approvals, within 10 months.
