Having outgrown the 10,000 SF facility from which they operated, Loomis Armored US required a new and much larger facility solution that would also be outfitted with specific security features required for processing millions of dollars of currency on a daily basis. Other client needs included space to unload and service armored vehicles used to transport currency throughout the region, as well as a sufficient office area for administrative staff.

BCCG was selected by its client to deliver Construction Management services to erect the new service center, which gives Loomis Armored US five times more space than their existing facility.

Constructed using site cast, concrete tilt-up panels, the facility features office and warehouse space, as well as a sizable vault constructed on top of a thick concrete slab. Security features include bullet-proof doors, infrastructure for dozens of exterior cameras and other low-voltage devices related to security, and automatic sliding gates for site access.

Despite 80 lost weather days and a total of 60 inches of rainfall over an 8-month time frame, which greatly challenged productivity and coordinating vendors, the BCCG project management team ensured subcontractors delivered high-quality services, which included supply and installation of door hardware, low-voltage devices, and the emergency generator.

Before completing facility construction, BCCG was also awarded the contract to complete tenant improvements for the new service center.
